February  18th - Charles Matthews

A piano recital to include Fiona Frank’s new suite for piano "Mystical Swan in Blue" and List’s transcription for piano of Schubert’s "Schwanesgesang."

March 18th - The Pavilionaires

The Pavilionaires provide a lively and entertaining evening of jazz. The instrumentalists in this group obviously enjoy playing together and their musicianship and enthusiasm shining through everything they play. 

April 8th - Illustrated Talk

Bernard Lockett talks about"The Heritage of Gilbert & Sullivan. For nearly 150 years, Gilbert and Sullivan (G&S) productions have influenced popular culture in the English-speaking world. Promising to be both informative and entertaining, this presentation will include an overview of some of Gilbert and Sullivan’s operas in the context of the social and political atmosphere of their time.

May 20th - Divertimento

Divertimento is a group of twenty or so singers. The number varies from time to time but the one thing that never changes is their passion for singing and all things vocal.

June 23rd Vickers Bovey guitar duo

Vickers Bovey Guitar Duo have been described as performers ‘with truly uncanny unanimity’ (Ivan Hewett, Daily Telegraph) and ‘with astounding exquisiteness’ (Paul Driver, Sunday Times). Julian and Dan first met studying at Birmingham Conservatoire where they both received First Class Honours and the Principal’s Prize, continuing their studies with a joint Masters at the Royal Academy of Music, London, graduating with Distinction and the Performance Diploma in July 2016.
